will be doing their annual fund raiser with their
breakfast being served from 9am-1pm.

scrambled eggs coffee and milk.
Bring your appetite, eat your fill and be ready for
the parties later in the day for Super Bowl Sunday.
Valentine Day
This celebration begins on Feb 13 at the Good Samar-
itan Center with a bake and craft sale put on by the
Booster Club. It gives the residents and the public an
opportunity to shop for their sweeties for the next day.
Margaret Olson, Activity Director, wants to say a big
thanks for the genorisity of the community for the
pancake breakfast that brought in funds for some very
nice Christmas gifts for the residents.
Saturday, February 14, Kelly's Cafe will have some
evening specials which does include her famous prime
rib meal, from 5-9pm.
Giving Hearts Day
Thursday, February 12 the Community of Care is par-
ticipating in Giving Hearts Day. All donations of $10.00
or more will be matched, up to the first $10,000 (DMF-
$4000 and local donors-$6000).
Go to: impactgiveback.org to make your secure online
donation. You can also stop by our office to make your
donation and enjoy some Valentine's treats.
Thanks for Giving From Your Heart to provide care for the
rural Cass County seniors.
Arthur City Council
The Council welcomed the currenet Cass County Deputy,
Nathan Boerboom, orginally from Marshall.
He reported on the six calls from the city the past month
that included medical, impaired and theft.
The theft call involved the break-in at the Arthur Drug and
Mary's Market.
He is a NDSU graduate and has been in law enforcement for
6 years.
New Year Subscriptions
Yes, another year is with us and the What's Going On news-
letter subscriptions are due again. $15.00 can be sent to the
Arthur City Office, Box 161 and the monthly publication will be
sent to you. Hoping you are still enjoying learning about our
community and the events that planned through out the year.
Ice Rink
The rink on 4th avenue near the water tower is ready for winter
fun. Grab your hockey puck and stick and dress warmly and
spend some time on the rink and in the warming house.
New Cleaning Service
Erica Cahoun of Arthur and Julie Krabbenhoft from Hunter
have formed the Valley Girls Cleaning Service. They are
available for home and commercial cleaning. Give Erica a
call at: 701-541-2507 if you need help with hourly cleaning.
Mary's Market
A profuct is found on the Market's shelves that is being
hailed as a wonder cleaner for dishes and glassware.
Testimonies are circulating as to the cloudy glasses that
are once again sparkly with the use of Lemi-Shine in the
dishwasher. Not only does Lemi-Shine restore the lustre
to dishes, but it also cleans up the dishwasher. A couple
of treatments to do the big job and then once a month or
so, depending upon your water, is most satisfactory.
Mary will also have fresh flowers and plants starting
February 11 along with cards, chocolates, candy and other
goodies for Valentine's Day.
Sure looks inviting already in the grocery aisle for the pink
day of thinking of special people in your life.
Campus Life
Mike King, Campus Life leader, wants to thank again all the
people that have brought food for the Wednesday night
meetings at the Arthur gym. "Only with all the support that
has been given, could our group be on the up bound road
that it has been accomplishing, " states Mike. About 30
youth from the area start with a 6pm meal, fun time and
also time is alloted for inspirational conversations and
questions.
Junior and Senior High students are invited to the Super
Bowl party Sunday afternoon, February 1 at the Arthur
Gym. Any snack items donated would be very much
welcomed---and consumed by the kids.
The group has been doing community work as they took
down the Christmas decorations at the GSC that they
had put up in December and also did caroling for the
residents.
Campus Life is also a recipient of Giving Hearts Day,
February 12, so do make your online contribution by
going to: impactgiveback.org that day.
J & J Sales
Jay Johnson and Mike Krabbenhoft are the partners for
J & J Auto Sales north of Arthur. They have quite a large
selection of pre-owned autos in their lot. As the cars
that they purchased are reconditioned, they are on dis-
play among the other 80 or so vehicles. If you're in need
of a second car give J & J a call at 967-8521.

resignation as Arthur's City Manager. The Council has
hired Adam Bode who is training in on the versatile
position and finding many hats to wear in the process.
Adam is also responsible for the scheduling of the
Community Hall events. His number to call to reserve
the Hall is 701-566-4204.
"It's a good feeling to be able to turn over all the work
to a younger and very capable fellow like Adam," says
Kerm. "I'll be able to enjoy more lake time and more
golf time this summer with Adam taking care of the
city's needs".
Welcome Adam, we look forward to having you around
to keep the city looking good.
Adam and wife, Kati, and four children live in Arthur and
have a lovely flower garden in the front of their house
on 1st St in the Summer.

his class.
Bill Fish Birthday Party
The previous week everyone observed Martin Luther
King's birthday, but the following Monday, the fellows at
Cenex celebrated Arthur's Official Holiday, Bill Fish's
74th birthday.
Cake and ice cream, furnished by Bill Bartels and Ben
Parkhouse, was served to all that stopped by with cards
and gifts for Billy. What a great friendship between all the
guys to make the day so special.
2015 Goal of the Year
"Leave a place looking better than when you found it".
This is the year's goal for the City of Arthur for 2015.
Whether it's picking up some trash along the street as
you are walking or using a public restroom or seeing a
weed along the sidewalk, consider how you can improve
where you are. Keeping this goal in mind will make our
community a better place to live.
Rails to Trails
The committee working on the Northern Cass Pass, the
old railroad bed between Arthur and Hunter report that
progress is going along. The latest plan is for a benefit

raising funds, but making the public aware of the pro-
ject they have spent so much time working towards.
